Bouldering
Crux Masters — points table
Grades 1–8, top / zone scoring, and a flash bonus for doing the civilised thing and sending first go.
score nerdery
This bouldering mode is loosely based on comp scoring: each climber gets up to three attempts per boulder, a top gets full points, the zone / half-done result gets half points, and a flash gets extra points on top.
Rules
- Grades: problems run from 1 to 8.
- Top: full points for the boulder grade value.
- Zone / half done: exactly 50% of the top value.
- No zone: 0 points.
- Attempts: each climber gets up to 3 attempts per boulder.
- Flash bonus: topping on the first attempt adds an extra 20% of the boulder’s top value.
Bouldering score table
The base values rise roughly in the same spirit as dual mode, just remapped onto grades 1–8 instead of UIAA rope grades.
| Grade | Top | Flash top | Zone / half done | No zone |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | 20 | 24 | 10 | 0 |
| 2 | 29 | 35 | 15 | 0 |
| 3 | 39 | 47 | 20 | 0 |
| 4 | 52 | 62 | 26 | 0 |
| 5 | 68 | 82 | 34 | 0 |
| 6 | 88 | 106 | 44 | 0 |
| 7 | 115 | 138 | 58 | 0 |
| 8 | 150 | 180 | 75 | 0 |
Flash top = top points + flash bonus. Attempts 2–3 can still score a normal top, but not the flash bonus.
Competition flavour, not judge cosplay
This is intentionally loose: it borrows the spirit of comp bouldering without trying to replicate every official tie-break and counting rule. Enough structure to be fair, not enough to require a jury.
